DITCHES HILLFORT

An Iron Age hillfort with a Roman villa within its confines are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The site comprises a univallate hillfort, boundary ditches, trackways, rubbish or storage pits, an area of hard standing, and a possible round house. The villa is now recorded as 1517772. The hillfort ditch is still visible on the north and west sides as a depression. This site has been mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Cotswolds Hills National Mapping Programme.
