Remains of a Roman villa and an associated settlement in Bays Meadow. Excavations have revealed the remains of two 2nd century houses of winged corridor type set at right angles to one another. During the 3rd century a double ditch and bank was constructed, enclosing the northern section of the site. Further buildings were added later in the 3rd century. The villa was destroyed by fire at the end of the 3rd century, but the site was reoccupied in the 4th century and occupation continued until the 5th century.
