Summary : House and cottage. Dated 1757 on doorway; incorporating late 16th-early 17th century remains (possibly of a bastle house). Glenwhelt has a double-range plan with the possible bastle remains in left end of rear range; cottage at a slight angle on right return of front range. Two-storey street front on sloping site. Six bays (each house on three bays; the cottage bays are more closely spaced). 19th century single-storey wing at right-angles on right rear.
