HUCCLECOTE ROMAN VILLA

A Roman villa of corridor plan with bath buildings and mosaic pavements. It was excavated in 1911 and 1933 and evidence suggests that is dates from approximately 150 AD to the 5th century. Evidence for later Bronze Age and Iron Age occupation were also encountered. Roman finds include coins and a brooch. The finds were divided between Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud museums. Scheduled.
