More information : A circular mound with a sloping bank 12 ft high; flat topped, diameter 63 ft., and the apparent remains of a stone circle, is situated at the S.W. end of Broad Field near High Head Castle. Within the stone circle were six other stones arranged in three pairs. Excavations at the base of these stones revealed three short cists containing the remains of inhumation burials, and in one metal fragments resembling gold.
