More information : A penannular bank, c.10m in diameter, and centred at SJ 30219 74725 in Chapel Field, Denhall, is probably a post-medieval lime kiln, as suggested by Chester College students who surveyed the earthworks in Chapel Field in 1980 and first identified the feature (1a). It lies within the area of SAM Cheshire 100/RSM 23645 (1b, 1c). The field is currently under pasture.
