LUXBOROUGH ROAD RAILWAY STATION

Luxborough Road Station to the east of Gupworthy was intended to be a station on the West Somerset Mineral Railway line but it was never completed, being abandoned in 1898. Formerly known as Langham Hill Station, it is called Northbrook Station on the Ordnance Survey map of 1889 and is more generally known as Luxborough Road Station. Only the station platform and scant ruins of the building now survive.
