Summary : The remains of a Medieval motte and bailey castle surviving as an earthwork. The bailey is mutilated. The motte is 2.1 metres high. Scheduled.

A small work consisting of an oval mount within the eastern fragment of a bailey. The latter has now disappeared except at this part, where it forms a ditch on the east of the mound, with a bank extending north-westward for a distance of 200 ft to the stream. (2)

The motte and bailey are as described by Wall & Downman. The motte which is now surrounded by water, is 2.1m high. (4)
