Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Wilsford 73 and part of the barrow cemetery recorded as SU 13 NW 1. Excavated in the early 19th century by Colt Hoare, who found ashes but no interment. The barrow has been almost completely levelled and is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It is defined by a mound, surviving up to 0.2m high, surrounded by a ring ditch and has an overall diameter of 12m. |
