Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Wilsford 68 and part of the barrow cemetery recorded as SU 13 NW 1. Excavated in the early 19th century by Colt Hoare, who found the scattered remains of a human skeleton and burnt bones. The barrow is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark of a circular mound with a diameter of 18m; this is surrounded by a ditch and then a broad bank giving the barrow an overall diameter of 28.5m. The barrow survives as a low oval mound. |

The barrow has been mapped from aerial photographs and is visible as a cropmark of a circular mound with a diameter of 18m, this is surrounded by a ditch and then a broad bank giving the barrow an overall diameter of 28.5m. It is possible that the barrow survives as a low mound. (4-6)
Wilsford 68 survives as a slight oval mound, no more than 0.2m high; surveyed at 1:1000. (7)
