Summary : A Bronze Age bowl barrow, listed by Grinsell as Wilsford 62 and part of the barrow group recorded as SU 13 NW 1. Excavated in the early 19th century by Colt Hoare, who found a primary inhumation with a Beaker, the latter now being in Devizes Museum. The barrow is extant as an earthwork mound 1.8 - 2.1 metres high and 35 metres in diameter but is now covered by dense vegetation and there is no trace of a surrounding ditch. |
