More information : (SO 54516326) Moor Abbey and remains of (NAT) Abbey (NR)
Moat (NR) Fishpond (NR) (1)

Moor Abbey once a possession of Leominster Priory, presents a mainly 18th c exterior. It incorporates 16th and 17th c work. Only the NW arm of the surrounding moat survives. A rectangular fishpond lies NW of the house. There is a line of bank and ditch to the E and SE of the house. NW of the house is a square stone pigeon house. (2)

Not mentioned by Knowles and Hadcock (presumably a grange or similar holding.) (3)

The house "Moor Abbey" is not outstanding. Part of the moat remains on the NW side of the house and is waterfilled. Further to the NW is the rectangular fish pond at SO54356338. Adjacent to it on the east side is a smaller triangular pond, probably a hatchery. The banks and ditches to the south and south-east of the house at SO54606310 probably defines the Abbey grounds.
Surveyed at 1:2500. (4)
