Summary : Earthwork (site of).
More information : (SO 579306) Earthwork (NR). (1) Earthwork, much ploughed down. All that can be seen is a slight sinking of indeterminate shape. The ground slopes away on all sides. (Not visible on available AP's - RAF 1946). (2-3) Possible Roman Camp - RB sherds found (SO 53 SE 12). (4) The earthwork is centred at SO 5795 3063 and as described by the Royal Commission. Its date and purpose are not apparent. Published survey (25") revised. (5)
