More information : Ex-GUNILLA. Having been blown ashore in a heavy NNW gale which lasted for two whole days, the crew of this schooner took to their boat and by means of a rope, which was left attached to their vessel, slowly veered towards the shore and were able to land through the breakers in safety. Although the local Coastguard and rocket services attended the scene, the survivors were already ashore by the time they arrived, having been helped to land by a local from one of the farmhouses in the vicinity.
