Summary : Cattlesheds and attached cartsheds, smithy and store building situated 15 metres south of Model Farmhouse. The buildings were constructed in 1856, they form a central row of cattlesheds with yard to the left, the rest of the buildings to the right. All are of one storey, built of flemish bond brick, with Welsh Slate roofs. These form part of the Home Farm complex of Shirburn Castle.

(1 & 3) In 1857 Lord Macclesfield built a model dairy farm on his Shirburn estate. It had both open and closed yards and a steam engine to power both farm and estate yard machinery. It survives essentially intact. (4)
