Summary : The Library and Herbarium comprises of two buildings and is now part of Magdalen College Bursary. The earliest part, the South elevation, was originally the orangery or plant house, constructed 1733-35 as a single storey building, another storey was added in c1835 when it became a house. The North elevation was also constructed in c1835, it is of two storeys. Both buildings are constructed of ashlar.
