Summary : The earthwork remains of a possible motte at Monk's Court. The site lies north of the River Arrow, approximately 0.3 kilometres north west of a more substantial motte and bailey (SO 45 NW 1). The smaller mound is roughly circular, measuring 28 metres at the base and standing 1.5 metres high. Traces of a ditch survive on the northern side. This may be the site of a castle or an unusual form of moated manor.

Mound at Monk's Court, circular, about 31 yds in diameter at the base and rising some 4 1.2 ft above the surrounding ground. Listed as castle. (2-4)

This feature is referred to locally as the mound. It appears to be the reduced remains of a motte with faint traces of a ditch on the N side but there is no evidence of a bailey.
