More information : A disc barrow and a World War II pillbox within Boscombe Down airfield. The barrow has a mound 12m in diameter. On the eastern side of the barrow, on a low mound, sits a World War II pillbox constructed from reinforced concrete. (1)
The disc barrow referred to by authority 1 is the barrow described in SU 13 NE 1 (scheduled number 28938). The pillbox is visible on aerial photographs and appears to have been constructed over part of the barrow. (2)
