Summary : Possible moat or degraded motte with moat. Field investigation carried out in 1969 located moat remains on the west and north sides of an oval island with a causeway in the north-west. The moat is 0.8 metres deep and the island rises some 1.6 metres out of it. The island measures 30 metres by 35 metres across the top. |

Moat, partly wet enclosing an oval island which rises 4 ft above the surrounding ground. (2)
The moat remains on the west and north sides of the oval island with a causeway in the north-west. The moat is 0.8m deep and the island rises some 1.6m out of it. The island measures 30.0m by 35.0m across the top. Resurveyed at 1:2500. (3)
Site identified by D J Cathcart King as a "very low motte" with wet moat. (4)
