Location :
County of Herefordshire
Kilpeck
Grid Ref : SO4460030600

More information : SO 445305 Kilpeck is an excellent example of a shrunken

Visited 15.7.52. The village enclosure is marked by a bank with
external ditch B-C-D, E-F-G. The section B to D is well preserved.
The corneer F is much flattened, though still clear, and the bank
fades out completely at G. The angle at C is noticeably obtuse. (3)

on the NW side, covering an area of approx 2.75 hectares. A

Any evidence of occupation to the SE of this road has now been
ploughed out; but to the NW platforms and hollows are visible.
Surveyed at 1:2500. (4)

This monument was formerly scheduled as Here/Worc No.146. It is now Scheduled with Kilpeck Castle as Here/Worc No.17. (5)
