Summary : A possible Iron Age or Roman rectilinear enclosure is visible as cropmarks on air photographs. It has a sub-division and contains a smaller rectangular enclosure.
More information : The cropmark of a rectangular enclosure, (40m x 30m) is visible on air photographs, centred at SE 6709 3230. There is a possible second enclosure located within the southern half of the first. The main enclosure appears to be in the same orientation as ridge and furrow also showing as cropmarks in the same field. Possible Iron Age/Roman date.

The above enclosures were transcribed as part of the Vale of York Project and are possibly part of a larger field system recorded to the north (see SE 63 SE 22).
