Terrace of four `type A' cottages situated at the eastern end of Taunton Street, separated from the main terrace by an alley. The terrace was designed by Brunel and comprises two-storey, five roomed houses similar in plan to those built in Oxford Street, Reading Street and Farringdon Street in 1846. The cottages were constructed in 1853-4 during the final phase of development of the village. The houses were renovated in 1974 and are constructed of limestone ashlar with slate roofs.
