Summary : Formerly the Lying-in Hospital, built in 1825-6 to designs by John Dobson. It was of two storeys and built of stone in the Tudor style. The hospital was extended in 1901 but closed in 1923 and had been taken over by the BBC by 1932. Closed in 1987.
