More information : At the house called "The Firs" at Lydbury North
(near church) there is a moat. (1)

The Firs, 17th century. Grade II building (not located). (2)

The Firs, SO 3515 8605, is situated on a mound with depressions on the N and W side but these depressions could not be positively identified as the remains of a moat. The house is not outstanding. (3)

This location falls within the area mapped from aerial photographs by RCHME's Marches Uplands Mapping Project. Neither the mound nor any trace of the supposed moat were identified during that survey. (5)
