Summary : The earthwork and buried remains of a bowl barrow situated on level ground immediately south of the A4113. Barrow consists of an earthen mound, circular in form, circa 20m in diameter and 1.2m high. Surrounding quarry ditch, which is no longer visible having been completely infilled. The mound has a slightly flattened top possibly due to archaeological excavation in 1736, when an urn containing human bone was found.

A mound 56 ft in diameter at the base and about 3 ft high. This is probably the tumulus referred to in a MS account of the discovery
of an urn containing human bones on 8 February 1736. Roy notes "urns found in this tumulus". (4) (2-4)

This turf covered barrow is 22.0m in diameter and 1.2m high. There is no local knowledge of the urns found.

The circular barrow mound is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and has been mapped by RCHME's Marches Uplands Mapping Project. (7)
