Hob Uid: 106492
Location :
County of Herefordshire
Kinsham
Grid Ref : SO3606063960
Summary : Bronze Age bowl barrow situated on the floodplain of the River Lugg, 70 metres from the river and 460 metres south of Lower Court. It stands in a field called The Cott. There is a small depression in the mound on its east side which may indicate past excavation. Scheduled.
More information : (SO 36066396) Circular mound about 7 feet high and about
41 yards in diameter at the base, 1120 yards south south west of Kinsham Church. (Shown, but not described, on OS 6" 1963).(1)

The circular mound described above looks like a barrow but
its situation on the flood plain of the River Lugg makes this
unlikely and it may well be natural. A similar mound is situated at SO 35816407 (SO 36 SE 11).

Published survey (25") revised. (2)
