Gate tower to St Mary's Priory and attached gatehouse dated 1528. Fragment of priory wall - possibly earlier gate tower.

Abbey Gate or Slee's Gateway was built in 1527 Prior Slee, as
shown by a Latin inscription on the arch on the inner side of
the gateway. A red sandstone building with a stone slab roof, it
has a triple-chamfered round arch to the east and west, with a
division between the pedestrian and carriage entrance. Both
parts of the gatehouse are tunnel-vaulted. Grade 1. (2 - 3)
