A `type A' terraced cottage situated at the western end of a terrace in Bristol Road, the Railway Village. It was designed by Brunel and comprises a two storey five roomed house similar in plan those constructed in 1846 in Oxford Street, Reading Street and Farringdon Street. The cottage was constructed by May and Son in 1853-4, during the final phase of development in the Railway Village. It was renovated in 1974 and is constructed of limestone ashlar with a slate roof.
