Summary : An inscribed Roman altar, on the right side a jug, and on the left a patera. Found before 1725 when Stukeley and Gordon saw it at Scaleby Castle, and cited it in a context of inscriptions from Castlesteads. Horsley considered this was the altar which had been found at Stanwix. Later it was taken to Busbridge Hall, Godalming; now (1959) in Carlisle Museum.
