Summary : Probable Medieval field system of ridge and furrow seen as earthworks.
More information : A Medieval field system of ridge and furrow, surrounding the
village of Willoughton, was visible as earthworks and mapped from
poor quality air photographs. The ridge and furrow survives over an
extensive area, W-E from SK 9197 9300 to SK 9344 9315 and N-S from
SK 9280 9375 to SK 9250 9252. Other settlement remains associated
with Willoughton village are recorded in SK 99 SW 6, 30 & 47.
