Summary : Possible Prehistoric or Roman enclosures seen as cropmarks.
More information : Fragments of possible Prehistoric or Roman enclosures were seen as
cropmarks and mapped from good quality air photographs. The
possible remains of three rectilinear ditched enclosures, each
measuring on average 50m by 30m, are centred at SK 8841 4956.

Recent cropmark photography shows that this enclosure complex continues to the south, centred SK 8843 4942.
Also, this complex may incorporate linear features which have been recorded separately in SK 84 NE 14. (2-2a)
