| Summary : Earthwork remains of a Motte and bailey. The motte has a diameter of 48 yards at the base and is 30 feet high above the bottom of the partly wet ditch which surrounds it. A raised crest at the rim of the motte may relate to a shell keep or earlier pallisade setting. There are remains of a kidney-shaped bailey to the east and south east, mostly bounded by a scarp but with remains of a rampart on the south. Scheduled. |

The motte has a diameter of 48 yds at the base and is 30 ft high above the bottom of the partly wet ditch which surrounds it. There are remains of a kidney-shaped bailey to E and SE, mostly bounded by a scarp but with remains of a rampart on the S. (2)
This motte and bailey is as described but the rampart to the
south is not surveyable.
