More information : TF 304 688. Site of deserted Medieval village of Scrafield. (1)
The Medieval settlement described by authority 1 was mapped from poor quality air photographs. On early photos it was visible as earthworks but later it was seen as cropmarks. It consists of five conjoined enclosures, possibly crofts, centred at TF 3048 6909. To the south is another area of crofts centred at TF 3022 6879, two of which contain a pit. Ridge and furrow lies to the north and south of this second area. (Morph No. LI.120.1.1-6).
