The cropmark remains of the probable Iron Age and/or Roman sub-rectangular enclosure described above was mapped from aerial photographs as part of the Lincolnshire Long Barrows Assessment Project. The enclosure is located at TF 43796 69120. The sides are roughly straight and corners slightly curved. It has a simple terminally-defined entrance in the eastern side. The enclosure is trapezoidal in shape, measuring 42.4m (N-S) and 58.m across at the northern end, tapering to 41m across at the southern end. (2-3) |
