More information : Centred SX 74657853. The remains of three small rectangular shelters adjoin former field boundaries immediately W of Greator Rocks. All were formerly quite crudely constructed and open on one side. There are no identifiable internal features. Their function is unclear but they were most probably used as tool sheds or shelters for those working in the now abandoned fields.

SX 7468278543. 3.7 by 2.2m internally. W wall utilises massive earthfast block. Sloping interior open to the S.
SX 7466278486. 3.6m by 1.7m internally with walls 1.5m wide and 0.5m high. Open to the S. (1)
The three small post-medieval shelters are visible as earthworks on 2015 and 2021 Next Perspectives APGB vertical aerial photography and visualisations of Environment Agency 1m Lidar data flown in 2021. They were mapped from aerial sources in 2023 during the Historic England Dartmoor-Plym project. Each shelter is formed of a small arc attached to field boundaries of the Hound Tor Common medieval/post-medieval field system (NRHE 1044937). They are within scheduled monument NHLE 1016255. (2-4)
