Summary : A section of an Early Medieval 8th century frontier boundary of Mercia that has survived as an earthwork. The whole earthwork is know as Wat's Dyke.
More information : SJ 294 307 - SJ 293 306. Wat's Dyke: two sections 170yds (160m) long, S from Old Oswestry. Scheduled. (1) The section of Wat's Dyke described above is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs and has been mapped by RCHME's Marches Uplands Mapping Project. (2)
