Summary : Supposed parade ground to the Roman fort - disputed site.
More information : (Located to NY 609 013) To the N of the fort towards Borrow Beck a
flat piece of ground is perhaps the parade ground but, if so, is of
exceptionally small size. (1)

(Located at NY 611 009) About 100 yards W of the bridge over the Lune
is a large flat meadow more suitable for a parade ground. (2)

Area examined in the course of the RCHME: Howgill Fells Project;
there is insufficient evidence on the ground to postulate the
whereabouts of a parade ground. (3)
