Summary : Country house, 1904-8 by Sir Ernest George for the Mason family. H-plan, Jacobean style. Built on site of a hall which was built for the Lacys during 1760's, enlarged by Sir Charles Barry 1843-5, by Owen Jones in 1872, demolished in 1903.
More information : (SP 3952 1227) Country house. Built 1904-8 by Sir E. George for the Mason family. Jacobean style. Equipped with its own waterworks, gas plant, electric generating station and private telephone links to all parts of the estate. Grade II. (1)
