(NY 24126230) Cross (GT) (Site of) (1)

"It is traditionally recorded that an upright stone stood on Fishers Cross Mound within the recollection of persons now living: (perhaps the shaft of a cross?), that its name was Fitzha, or Fitzheugh, Cross, and that a stone coffin was once found here with a skeleton in it, that coins are found in the garden formed on it we know, for we saw one "(2). Bruce also records Roman coins from the mound (3). Gordon mentions "Fesa Cross which is upon the wall" (4). Hereabouts, according to Birley would be the calculated position of Turret 78B (5). (2-5)

No intelligible remains of the tumulus. (6)

No visible remains of turret 78B. (7)
