More information : (Centred at NY 252 604) An inscribed sandstone building stone 8 by 11 ins was found shortly before 1783 in the wall of the East Lane, leading to the Church at Glasson. It is inscribed Leg 11 Aug COH 111. This stone was later seen by Bruce built into a wall, upside down, in a lane leading to Bowness church (2-3). It is now in Tullie House Museum. (1-4)
