DUEL CROSS

A Roman milestone of Decius, AD 249-51 was found at Duel Cross in 1778. It is now in Aldborough museum. Supposed barrow, no longer extant, which was used as a quarry c1785. It contained possible Early Medieval pottery, undated inhumations and Roman coins. Possibly a drumlin reused as a barrow?
