Street revealed evidence for multiple timber buildings forming part of a
row of barracks flanking the western defences of the Roman fort.

1990 Excavation RYDERS STREET (CONDATE)

Sample excavations in advance of redevelopment of an allotment adjacent to
Ryders Street and a garage space on its north-east side revealed evidence
of the northern defences of the Roman fort on both sites.

1991 Watching Brief 2 QUEENSGATE

Watching brief during excavation of house foundations. (Area of river-worn
cobbles interpreted as 'yard' for indexing purposes). Site may represent
evidence of civilian vicus beyond the western defences of the fort.
